What are leading learners?
Leading learners are those children who make up the most gifted 3 or 4 pupils in every class for each subject. At St. Joseph's we strive to give these children opportunities to further develop their skills, these are often concepts that underly life-long learning in general. Things like project management skills, ability to research and learn, ability to self-regulate,optimism, and empathy are all elemental components of the psychological and intellectual makeup of a lifelong learner.
Previous opportunities for leading learners have included: Art, Maths, English, Drama and sporting events with our local Community Learning Partnership. Chances to participate in residential courses for a variety of subjects at Kilve Court. Enrichment through sporting teams to represent the school and chances to enter the Highbridge Festival of Arts.
