Welcome to our After School Club

We have been running the After School Club since April 2010 for children attending St Joseph’s School and Nursery. 

The club is led by Sian Price and Emily Burt who are DBS checked, first aid trained and already work within the school in various roles. The session runs from 3:20pm to 5:15pm at a cost of £5.75 per day.   There is a reduction for siblings to £4.75 per session.

There will be limited spaces available each day and these will be allocated on a first come first serviced basis. 

Places can be booked more than 48 hours in advance on SCOPAY, however if it says the session is full please contact the school office on 01278 784641 and we will endeavour to extend the staffing level to accommodate additional children. Places may also be available at short notice and can be booked via the school office. Payment for all bookings must be received prior to attendance of the After School Club.

Should you wish to apply for a place/s, please ask for a registration form and return it in an envelope marked ‘After School Club’ to the school office prior to any bookings made.

No refunds are given if a child is absent or cannot attend the sessions without prior notification. However, credits can be given for cancellations of sessions, provided a minimum notice of 48 hours is given.

During the session children will receive a light snack and drink that will include a selection from; toast, waffles, crumpets, fresh fruit and croissants and hot or cold drinks. The snack will be served between 4:15pm and 4:45pm.

Children will be engaged in a range of activities and games which will be topic based. Staff will also be happy to assist with homework and a quiet area will also be available.

Collection of Children

All parents must make contact with the After School Club supervisor upon arrival at school, to advise them they are collecting their child. 

All parents are required to provide advanced written notice if their child is to be collected by a person other than themselves. 

If a child is to leave the After School Club independently, prior written consent must be provided to the After School Club Supervisor. Details of the time of departure, route to be taken and destination of the child’s journey must all be provided in the written consent. Following this consent being provided, the child will proceed with their journey.

The Breakfast and After School Club are now contactable by mobile phone on 07522968915 during club hours only. In an emergency (ie: late collecting your child/ren) please ensure you either text or ring the number above until you get an answer. Do not leave a voicemail. You can also try the school number to ensure the message gets through. Bookings should continue to be made through the school office.
