Welcome to our Breakfast Club

We have successfully been running our Breakfast Club since September 2009. We operate the Breakfast Club daily during term time, for children attending St Joseph’s Catholic Primary and Nursery School.

The club runs from 7:45am. Key Stage 1 and 2 children go into the playground at 8:45 where a member of staff will be on duty. The Nursery children are supervised until 9am when they are escorted into Nursery.

The Breakfast club is led by Miss Jacqui Cooper and supported by Mrs Lorraine Francis and Mrs Bernadette Lee. All of our staff are DBS checked and already work within the school in various roles.

There are limited spaces available each day at a cost of £4.15 per child per session (or part of) and £3.65 for each additional sibling. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. These can be booked in advance via SCOPAY, however if it says the session is full please contact the school office on 01278 784641 and we will endeavour to extend the staffing level to accommodate additional children. Payment for all bookings must be received prior to attendance of the Breakfast Club.

A registration form MUST be completed with contact details for emergencies prior to your child’s first booking.

The main door to the school is Key Coded for security purposes and you will be given the code when you book your first session.

During the hour children will receive a breakfast that will include a selection from, cereals, toast, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit, croissants plus hot or cold drinks. If your child has a favourite cereal let us know and we will endeavour to provide it. Breakfast will be served between 7:45am and 8:20am. Your child must arrive before 8:15am if they require breakfast.

In the remaining time children will be engaged in a range of activities which will be based on play and relaxation, and not school work, although the staff will be happy to assist with any homework during the session.
