Dear Headteacher, Teachers and Parents,

The Town Council would like to recognise young people in our towns who are showing themselves to be deserving of recognition through positive actions  .

Attached please find a poster and a copy of the nomination form for our” Celebration of Youth” event to be held at The King Alfred School on Saturday 15th October. Please could you consider posting these prominently somewhere and sharing it with your teachers/students/parents etc.., to encourage nominations of worthy young people in the 3 different categories:

• leadership
• giving peer support
• raising awareness of climate and ecological change We have 2 age groups for each category, under 11’s and also 11-18 .

Any nominations sent in would benefit from an informative nomination/reason for the award explaining why that person is worthy of the award.

We look forward to seeing lots of you at the event where there will also be stalls/opportunities to showcase activities on offer to the younger members of our society. If you would like to have an opportunity to showcase your own organisation, or any “open to all “ activities then please let me know.
