Spring

World Book Day - We started the day with a World book Day assembly. The children returned to the classroom and enjoyed listening to the story ‘Supertato’. The children took part in various Supertato/Superhero masks. They enjoyed wearing the superhero masks and getting to write their own Superhero identity cards and choosing different powers. The day ended with Year 3 children coming to Reception class to share a story.

National storytelling week

The theme for National Storytelling week this year is Reimagine your world, so Mrs Chrystall chose the book 'You Choose' for the Reception class to explore. The children absolute loved looking at the illustrations and found it particularly funny hearing all of her crazy ideas for her world. Children got chance to select various pictures from the book to reimagine what there new world would be if they were to design it themselves. We had dragons as pets, Father Christmas as children's Grandads, and some rather fancy beds and clothes to choose from. It was lovely to hear what the children came up with inspired by looking at the pictures.
