Key Stage 2 Live Author Zoom Visit with Hannah Gold!Key Stage 2 joined Hannah Gold for the launch of her new book Turtle Moon. We also watched how illustrator Levi took inspiration for the book too!

A brilliant trip to Museum of Somerset to experience an Iron Age Somerset workshop. The children enjoyed dressing up, coin striking, discovering Meare-Lake beads and exploring the museum.

Friday 27th September - To celebrate the National Gallery's Bicentenary, we were delighted to welcome two educators from the Gallery who hosted a workshop with us, diving deep into the artwork of the artist Canaletto. The children looked at his painting in detail and completed activities based around colour mixing and printing.

Week beg: 30/9/24 - We had a fantastic Science lesson this afternoon exploring the skeleton and it's uses. We listened to the story 'Funny Bones,' sang a bone song, made a skeleton using scientific vocabulalry and labelled the bones of the skeleton in our books.

Thursday 3rd October. National Poetry Day. We had a brilliant morning sharing and learning a new poem called 'One.' We asked thoughtful questions about the poem and had a good discussion about why the poem makes us feel unique. Then we drew ourselves and celebrated everything that makes us unique.

We have all been working very hard with our addition and subtraction in Maths.

Term 2 - In Science we have been grouping rocks based on their properties. Is it permeable? Is it hard wearing?

Wednesday 18th Decemebr - Wow, an absolutely fantastic Christmas Performance. Amazing, confident singing and signing. Super use of prosody to act out all their parts with expression.
