Science - seasonal change We know that we are changing from Winter to Spring. We spotted many signs of spring around the school. We measured the temperature and observed the temperature had risen.
World Book Day 2024..... We had a fun day which started with an assembly all about books. We then read our favourite stories through the day and in the afternoon we made clay aliens from the story 'Aliens love underpants.' Mrs Williams' Dalmatian dogs kept an eye on us when we did our work!
Internet Safety Week 2024 - Today as part of Internet Safety , we listened to a story about 'Mo and Jaz.' We discussed the games we play on the internet and what we should do if something pops up that we don't understand. We also talked about our trusted adults at home and in school..
Storytelling Week - As part of storytelling week in February we listened to a live, virtual story read to us by the author Swapna Haddow. Mrs Williams then showed us a 'Storybag' with lots of different objects in it. These included a teddy and a suitcase, balloons, a helicopter, a cake-slice, keys, an apple and a notebook and pen. She set us a challenge to write a story to include all of the different objects. Our Reception children wrote their story with Mrs Price. They then performed it for us and Mrs Suik. We all thought it was brilliant! .
Every week we join together for a 'Celebration of the Word' in our classroom. We each take turns to set up the area choosing the resources that we like. Then we gather, listen to the word from the bible, respond and talk about what we should do to carry out this mission in our everyday life. It is a very special time for us to come together as a class and share our prayers for people who need them most.
Valentine's Disco...... we strutted or stuff and boogied on down at the disco! We all looked really beautiful in our party dresses and fancy clothes!
