St Joseph'sCatholic Primary & Nursery School

Autumn

Art- Today we used the skills we had learnt over the last few weeks and started our trees of life.

Geography - we looked for features in our school grounds. Features are things that are big, important and not easily moved.

Art - We created 3D pictures using different strips of 2D paper.

We created superheroes of kindness as part of our work on anti-bullying day.

Today we have been thinking about anti-bullying week. We have worn our odd socks to school to remind us that standing out and being unique is something to celebrate.

Art - Today we created paper 3D sculptures. We had to roll our own cylinders.

Art - we created plates in the style of Claris Cliff. We mixed secondary colours.

Computing - we have learnt to use a number of new tools in our paint programme.

Computing - We used the drawing, painting and spray tools to create pictures.

World Mental Health Day - we had a wonderful assembly to start the day then created some lovely sunny sunflowers and thought about the things that make us happy 💛

Art - we have been exploring colour when printing

History - Holidays in the past. Mrs Dyke came to talk to us about what holidays were like when she was young. We asked her our questions.

National poetry day -We have been looking at the poem Roll a ball by Michael Rosen. We came up with actions and wrote our own verse.
