We were thrilled today to be able to present 'Young Somerset' with the total sum of £396.00 to support all of the good work they do around 'Mental Health.' Both Suzanne Lawrence and Jo Staples came into school today to present us with a certificate and give everyone a sticker.
Shirley Mills from the 'Christmas Sparkle Project' came into school today to collect the amazing array of gifts that our pupils and families have so generously donated. These in turn will be wrapped and given to lots of children throughout Burmham & Highbridge who may not be as fortunate as us at Christmas. Thank you all for your support with this.
November 2025- Burnham on Sea Remembrance Parade. Today a selection of our children from across the School took part in our local Remembrance Sunday Parade representing St Joseph's. They joined the Parade of Ex & Current Servicemen/women and other local organisations and Schools to the War Memorial Hospital. They then laid a Poppy Wreath on behalf of the School and were fantastic representatives!
Today as part of our links with the Community, we invited Rev. Cheryl in from St Andrews Church to tell us all about her job and to lead an assembly about 'Remembrance Day.'
Community Spirit Shines at Joint Harvest Assembly at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School and Nursery A heartwarming display of generosity and collaboration took place this morning at a Harvest Assembly at St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Burnham-on-Sea and the Highbridge Area Foodbank. The assembly featured songs, prayers, and reflections on the importance of sharing and caring for others, especially during challenging times. Children from all year groups participated, with many helping to sort and present the donations. We collected an impressive 177.40Kg. The weight of food represents around 8 family parcels all of which will be donated to support local families in need. This was a collaboration between Our Lady and the English Martyrs Church and St. Joseph's school. The partnership between the church and school continues to grow, with events like this reinforcing the values of compassion, service, and unity. Photos from the assembly show the vibrant atmosphere and the impressive collection of donations, a testament to the generosity of all involved.
"Thank you" from Young Somerset
