  • Super star girls perform in area cricket finals

    Thu 19 May 2016
Today a team of 9 girls from Year 5 and 6 travelled to North Petherton Cricket Club to compete in an area Girls Cricket competition. The St Joseph's girls who have very little experience playing cricket at competition level were magnificent and improved with every game! The batting, fielding and bowling was brilliant throughout. A huge well done to all concerned with a special mention going to Eleni and Kitty for a couple of blinding catches, Megan for a double wicket haul in one over, Isabelle and Dorothy for some great bowling, Kizzie and Rhiannon for some big hits, Abbie for her speedy running between the stumps and finally Holly for her powerful fielding throws! Great effort girls!
  • 1st Holy Communion

    Sun 08 May 2016

Today (8th May) saw Andre and Ellie from year three have their first Holy Communion at Our Lady and The English Martyrs church. It was lovely to see you looking so smart and enjoying your special day with your family and friends.

  • Teachers benefit from dance support

    Wed 04 May 2016
The teachers at St Joseph's are currently benefiting from support in the delivery of curriculum dance. With the school using some of the Sports Premium Funding to employ a dance specialist to work alongside the teachers, everyone's a winner! The children receive high quality dance tuition and the teachers are supported in their delivery of this subject area. The dance ideas are current and inspiring and the children (and teachers) seem fully engaged in the process.
