• St Joseph Cricketers Thrive in Area Tournament!

  A huge well done to the girls and boys cricket teams who represented the school today in the Area Cricket Finals held at Wembdon Cricket Club in Bridgwater. In total there were 20 schools participating in all three competitions which is a huge turn out from the surrounding area.

  The boys played some fantastic cricket throughout the afternoon and finished the day losing two games and winning two! Their attitude and effort levels over the whole event were just brilliant, even in the face of defeat! Well done boys, you were a credit to the school!

  The girls continued their run of sporting success this year and made it through to the finals, losing by just 3 runs to a strong Somerset Bridge team, a school nearly three times the size of ours! Once again, just like the boys, their attitude and effort levels throughout were outstanding and they played some amazing cricket as well. They will now represent the Sedgemoor Area in the County Finals being held in July.

  All in all, this was a great end to the first half of the Summer Term! WELL DONE ALL OF YOU!

   

  

• The Crowning of Mary. We all gathered today as a school and parish community to crown our statue of 'Mary, the mother of God' with roses. Mary was then placed in our prayer garden for all to see and pray to.
