  • Cross Country Superstars!!!!

    Fri 30 Sep 2016
A huge well done to the 28 children who represented St Joseph's in the first area cross country of the season held at North Petherton Rugby club. Competing against schools from all over the area, the children were magnificent, racing with passion, determination and most importantly finishing with a smile on their face! There are too many children to mention all of them individually but a special mention should go to Evelyn and Dorothy who were the only girls to represent their classes, Harriet for a fantastic 4th place (she led for most of the race), Rudi, Tommy and Oakley for some great pacing throughout the duration of the race, Kobe for a 4th place finish in his first ever race for the school, Millie who finished faster than she started, Fletcher for a fantastic silver medal in the Year 4 boys race and finally Jack who wins the prize for the best running t-shirt!! Well done to everyone who raced....you were all brilliant!!!!!
  • Cross Country stars are at it again!

    Sat 24 Sep 2016
A huge well done to the team of 26 cross country stars from St Joseph's who once again braved the elements and competed in the first area cross country of the year. The course was a particularly long one and you were all magnificent and a credit to the school. Well done and I look forwards to next months races which will be held at the BASC ground in mid October.
  • Girls Football Team Triumph in Area Competition

    Thu 22 Sep 2016
A huge well done to the Girls football team who competed on Monday night in the ESFA Area tournament. Playing fours games against a selection of schools from the surrounding area, the team were victorious against Kingsmoor (1-0) and North Petherton ( 3-0). They drew their game against Westover Green (2-2) and were narrow losers against a strong North Newton team (1-0). A second place finish earns them a place in the Area finals in November - Great work girls.
