Keep up to date with all the news happening in school at the moment.
Yesterday, our Girls' Football Team travelled all the way to Bridgwater & Taunton College to compete in the ESFA Area Qualifier. There were a total of 11 girls' teams in the competition, with the sides split into two pools. The St Joseph's girls were in a group of six and finished the competition with two wins, two draws, and just a single loss (1–0) against the team that went on to contest the final! Unfortunately, their points total meant that they narrowly missed out on a semi-final spot by just one point. These girls were, once again, a credit to the school. Their footballing talents were evident throughout the whole afternoon, but more importantly, their positive attitude, determination, and sportsmanship were amazing! Well done, girls - this was an incredible afternoon of football and you should all be very proud of yourselves.
In what proved to be the most competitive ESFA qualifier in years, our boys' football team performed admirably throughout the afternoon. Even in the face of defeat, the boys showed fantastic resilience, battling hard right to the end of every game. They maintained their focus and a positive attitude throughout the competition. Although they lost a few games, they were rewarded with two brilliant draws against good opposition. Well done boys - this was an excellent afternoon of football and you should be very proud of your achievements.
