A magnificent display of footballing skills along with determination and self belief helped the girls reach the prestigious County Finals earlier on this week. Having lost our opening game to Berrow (3:1), the girls were undeterred and went on to secure victories against North Newton (1:0) and Somerset Bridge (1:0) and finish runners up in the event. They will now represent the Sedgemoor area, along with Berrow in the County Finals held in January. Way to go girls!!!

A team of 18 children (9 girls and 9 boys) represented the school today in the Sports Hall Athletics Area Finals. Competing against 13 other schools from around the Sedgemoor Area, I'm happy to say that our running, jumping and throwing was strong enough to earn us a place in the County Finals at the beginning of next year. The team finished in 2nd place overall, just behind overall winner North Petherton. Well done to all concerned....you were amazing!!!

A huge well done to the boys football team who reached the ESFA Area Finals just before the half term break. The team remained unbeaten in the preliminary round winning one and drawing the other three games they played. They will now look to test themselves against the best in the area as they search for a place in the County Final competition! This is a fantastic achievement and is even more impressive as many of the team are playing a year or more under age! Great work boys and I look forward to seeing you compete in the next stage of the competition.
