  • BOYS FOOTBALL TEAM CROWNED AREA CHAMPIONS!!!

    Tue 29 Nov 2016
A huge well done to our boys football team who were crowned area champions last night after fending off opposition from Eastover, Hamp, Wembdon and Somerset bridge. The boys remained unbeaten, winning three games and drawing just the one without conceding a single goal! A magnificent achievement and even more impressive as the schools they competed against are at least twice the size of ours! The team, which was made up of mainly Year 5 boys with a couple of Year 4's will have at least another year in this age group. Next stop....County Finals in January - Well done boys!
  • GIRLS FOOTBALL TEAM REACH COUNTY FINALS

    Thu 17 Nov 2016
A magnificent display of footballing skills along with determination and self belief helped the girls reach the prestigious County Finals earlier on this week. Having lost our opening game to Berrow (3:1), the girls were undeterred and went on to secure victories against North Newton (1:0) and Somerset Bridge (1:0) and finish runners up in the event. They will now represent the Sedgemoor area, along with Berrow in the County Finals held in January. Way to go girls!!!
  • SPORTS HALL ATHLETICS TEAM REACH COUNTY FINALS

    Thu 17 Nov 2016
A team of 18 children (9 girls and 9 boys) represented the school today in the Sports Hall Athletics Area Finals. Competing against 13 other schools from around the Sedgemoor Area, I'm happy to say that our running, jumping and throwing was strong enough to earn us a place in the County Finals at the beginning of next year. The team finished in 2nd place overall, just behind overall winner North Petherton. Well done to all concerned....you were amazing!!!
  • Tag Rugby Team Pass Their Way To Success

    Thu 17 Nov 2016

Before the October Half Term break, the Tag Rugby Team competed in a friendly festival held at North Petherton Rugby club. The team tested their skills against a number of schools from the Bridgwater area and although the competition was not scored we were extremely competitive! The children were all confident running with the ball and some of the passing and composure was fantastic as countless tries were scored. This was a great effort from a group of children who have only just started playing the game!

  • Boys Football Team Progress To Area Finals

    Tue 01 Nov 2016
A huge well done to the boys football team who reached the ESFA Area Finals just before the half term break. The team remained unbeaten in the preliminary round winning one and drawing the other three games they played. They will now look to test themselves against the best in the area as they search for a place in the County Final competition! This is a fantastic achievement and is even more impressive as many of the team are playing a year or more under age! Great work boys and I look forward to seeing you compete in the next stage of the competition.
