  • Year 5 Gymnasts Finish 2nd In Area Competition

Fri 11 Mar 2022 Mr Fisher

A huge well done to the team of eleven Year 5 gymnasts who travelled all the way to Bridgwater on Wednesday to compete in the 'Key Steps' Area Gymnastics Competition. Each member of the team had to complete a fairly difficult movement routine where they were scored against 5 other schools from the surrounding area. The scores were then added up and positions assigned!! The team should be extremely proud of themselves. They finished the overall competition in second place; a brilliant result and a true reflection of all their hard work. The result is even more impressive as the whole team are a year young and have another opportunity next year!  GO TEAM ST JOSEPH'S!!!!!

    World Book Day - 2022

In celebration of World Book Day this year our Nursery children dressed up as their favourite book characters.

The School had a theme of 'bedtime stories' so all of the children came to school in nightwear and enjoyed a hot chocolate treat!

We were also lucky enough to have a visit from Story Teller, Mr Cadwallader, who conducted a fun book themed workshop with every class!

  • Year 2 Gymnasts Compete In Area Competition

Wed 02 Mar 2022 Mr Fisher

A huge well done to the Year 2 Gymnasts from St Joseph's who travelled all the way to Bridgwater today to compete in the Sedgemoor Area Gymnastics Finals! The children were magnificent as they performed a short sequence of movement followed by a simple vault activity along a bench. Both the activities were scored and the team totals will be added together and sent back to the school in the next few days. The top two teams in the area will be selected to compete in the County competition next month which is being held in Yeovil..........fingers crossed for the St Joseph's team!!
