  • Cross Country Runners Finish 4th

    Wed 25 Feb 2015
A huge well done to the children of St Joseph's who competed in the latest cross country race held at Brymore school in Cannington. This was a fast, but challenging course with plenty of uphill, down hill and even the odd hay bale to negotiate. The children all ran extremely well and should be very proud of themselves. With 38 children competing in the different age group races, I am pleased to announce that we have finished 4th overall in this years competition (there were in excess of 20 schools entered). This is a fantastic result considering two of the schools above us are twice the size of ours! A great effort from all concerned and I look forwards to next years competition.

Plans for Emergency Closure of the School 2014/15

Now that winter is well and truly underway, we thought it would be useful to outline the procedures in place for any school closures during extreme weather conditions.
It is the intention to keep the school open unless there are severe weather conditions i.e. snow or insufficient heating. During spells of extremely wet/snowy weather please send your children with Wellington boots (to be changed in school) and warm clothing.
Should we experience icy or snowy conditions, every effort will be made to clear or de-ice the main entrances and footpaths into the buildings. Once in school pupils will be kept for the whole school day, unless conditions deteriorate. It is important that you are aware of the following ways we intend to communicate any school closures to you.

Children in costume helped  portay the events and all the children showed off their fantastic singing voices in a range of traditional and modern carols! The school orchestra led the singing for some of the carols (a premier performance for some of our adult members).
