  • Boys Football Team Reach County Finals

    Wed 02 Dec 2015
A huge well done to our boys football team who reached the County finals on Monday this week. The team were victorious against opposition from St Andrew's, St Mary's, Berrow, St Joseph's (Bridgwater) and Eastover. This is a huge achievement as nearly all of these schools (with the exception of St Joseph's in Bridgwater and Berrow) are over twice the size of our school. The boys will now represent the area at the prestigious County finals which are due to be played at the end of January. Well done boys, a superb result!!

Congratulations!.. to the Singing Club who performed beautifully a selection of carols at the Burnham-on-Sea Lights Switch On event on Saturday. Despite them being few in number, they sang confidently and made a lovely sound. Well done and 'thank you' to you all - I was very proud of you! • Athletics team conquer all to reach County Finals

    Fri 20 Nov 2015
An enormous well done to our Sports Hall athletics team who reached the County Finals this afternoon. The team made up of 9 girls and 9 boys had to compete against strong competition from 13 other schools, many of which are twice the size of ours! I'm glad to say that St Joseph's were crowned overall area champions and will compete in the County Finals in mid December. Well done team, a fantastic all round effort and I look forward to next months competition!
  • Battling Girls Bow Out in Area Finals

    Mon 16 Nov 2015
A spirited display saw the girls football team bow out in the Area Finals this afternoon. Despite a huge amount of passion, determination and all round effort, the girls were sadly unable to progress to the County Finals. Well done girls, both the school and Mr Fisher are extremely proud of you.

Their final two games were draws against Berrow (0-0) and St Joseph's, Bridgwater (0-0). We wish the boys the best of luck in the area finals which will be played at the end of November.
  • Huge Numbers at Latest Cross Country

    Fri 16 Oct 2015
Wednesday saw a team of 40 children from St Joseph's compete in the latest inter school cross country. With the event being held at Burnham-on-Sea Rugby ground we were always going to have a home advantage and the children did not disappoint. There were fantastic performances from everyone  and we even managed two silver medals in a couple of the races (well done Lillie and Fletcher). A great all round team effort! Well done Team St Joseph's!!!!!
