New schools’ helpline for Coronavirus

There are still no positive COVID-19 cases in Somerset, but our local health and care services are well prepared with well-rehearsed plans in place to deal with any potential outbreaks.
You should be assured that should a case be confirmed anywhere in the country, Public Health England would contact all those who have come into close contact with them and give specific advice of what action to take.
Government advice is reviewed daily and updated regularly. For the latest information, advice and guidance, check out https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
The best way to protect yourself and others from the virus and stop it spreading is to practice good hygiene habits – if you need to cough or sneeze catch it with a tissue, bin it and kill it by washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or using an alcohol-based hand sanitiser.
The Crime and Punishment Meal was a huge success today leaving clean plates all round. The children enjoyed tucking into Jail Rock Chicken Chunks or Villan Vegetable Chunks. The Crumbling Crime cake was a particular success. Thank you to Angela and Alison.
St Josephs School were invited by the Royal British Legion to take part in the annual Remembrance Parade through Burnham on Sea on Sunday. Mr Lawrence and Mrs Orledge accompanied some children from the school on the parade.
A Poppy Wreath was laid on behalf of the school by Jared and Noah. Thank you to all of the children and Parents who attended. It was the best attended remembrance parade for many years.
